Sunrise

Nic stared at the window that was filling with golden light. Light he had not seen in more than 100 years. Here he was in the arms of his worst enemy. The man who killed him. The man who he still loved, and still wanted dead. Was this what fate had in mind for them both after all these years? Dying in each others' arms, bathed in sunlight? United in death. Finally. And mixed with the fear of the nearing end, Nic felt more than all things that he was blessed being with Will in this moment and nobody else, and he digged his nails deeper in the other vampire's shoulders and whispered "I love you".
