Will found him on the terrace bordering the royal bedroom, staring at the stars, lost in thoughts. He hesitated approaching the king, his lover, but he felt Isiÿel needed as much comfort as he did, in this last night they would spend together. The colorful nebulas and stars painted reflections on Isiÿel pale skin, making him even more seem like a being from a fairytale and Will, even though his eyes filled with tears, had to smile.
"You can not sleep?" Isiÿel asked without turning around.
"No." Will replied and stepped closer, touched Isiÿel's arm and made the king turn around. With a shy and painful smile he realized that the strong and often arrogant monarch of the Other World had tears in his beautiful eyes as well.
Looking at each other, as if making a silent promise and a memory only they would share, Will became painfully aware that he was leaving more than the Other World, more than the place he was able to call home. He left the only man, human or not, he would ever be able to love. If only...
"Don't leave." Isiÿel said, the voice only a trembling whisper, knowing that Will was not able to, that their paths would part tomorrow, after this last night.
